GOLDEN RULES OF LOCS DYEING

Who doesn't want some splash of color? Its always nice to have your locs color popping and stirring heads.  All fine and good. Well before you jumpstart into doing that, here  are some few tips you should know before coloring your locs,
1⃣ Ensure you do not shampoo your locs days before getting a dye job. Why?
💚 Pre-shampooed locs contains natural oils or sebum that protects your locs from getting damaged when you bleach your locs.
💚 Shampooing your locs right before dyeing it in an effort to keep it clean strips your hair from these natural oils that would have otherwise protected your hair from severe damage such as thinning of locs that could occur from bleaching.

2⃣ Before dyeing your locs, do well to divide your locs into a handful or a bunch and dye them accordingly not singly.
❤ This ensures that the locs get bleached at equal amount of times and some parts don't stay longer or shorter than others.
❤ When dyeing your locs,endeavour to start from the back towards the front so that when washing out the color, you begin from the back also towards the front ensuring equal time distribution.
❤ You can cover your locs with a plastic nylon in order to activate the dye acting as a heat stimulator.

                         

3⃣ After dyeing your locs,ensure you follow this up with a deep conditioning treatment with oils or shea butter in order to replace the oils you lost while stripping your hair color.
💙 This also helps to prevent subsequent drying of locs noticed after a dye job.
💙 Also bear in mind,you will have to moisturise your locs more often than you did before dyeing them. To this effect, having a spray bottle comes in handy.
💙 Please also note that if you going several shades lighter especially if your going blonde,it is advisable to do so in an interval of weeks following the last dye job rather than doing it once that causes you to leave the dye in for too long. The latter usually result to locs thinning and falling out associated with dyeing your locs.

👅If these measures are followed,you should have no problem with your results afterward even if you attempt to do a hair lift yourself. Please caution should be taken. Follow the advise on your dye pack.
